Terms of Use
Last updated September 22, 2026
The short version
- Wrap Logger helps you estimate and keep records. It isn’t legal, tax, accounting or payroll advice.
- Always check every number against your deal memo, contract or paymaster before you rely on it or send it.
- Your data belongs to you. Keep your own copies of anything important.
1. What Wrap Logger is
Wrap Logger (wraplogger.com) is a web app, made and run by Ethan Yuheng Xie, for film and TV freelancers to log work days, overtime and expenses and to make quotes and invoices. By creating an account, or by choosing “I agree” in the app, you accept these terms. The app shows the same text when you sign up, and any time in Settings ▸ Terms & privacy.
2. Not professional advice
Wrap Logger is an estimating and record-keeping tool, not legal, tax, accounting or payroll advice. Overtime is calculated using California daily overtime conventions (1.5× after 8 hours and 2× after 12 hours in a workday, applied to an hourly rate derived from the day rate). Actual pay rules vary by union or guild contract, role, employer, jurisdiction and circumstance.
Figures produced here may be incomplete or inaccurate for your situation. Always verify every number against your deal memo, contract, paymaster or a qualified professional before relying on it or submitting it. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the invoices, records and tax summaries you create and send.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in details, passkeys and devices secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give a real email address, so you can confirm your account and recover it.
- Wrap Logger is for people 16 and older.
4. Your data
What you put into Wrap Logger is yours. You let us store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Your data is stored under your account; keep your own backups of anything important. You can export your records and delete your data at any time.
5. Fair use
Please don’t use Wrap Logger to break the law, to store content you don’t have the right to store, to upload anything harmful, or to try to get into other people’s accounts or disrupt the service. We may suspend an account that does.
6. The service
Wrap Logger is in active development (beta). Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may update the app at any time, and we’ll try to give notice in the app of changes that matter.
7. No warranty; limit of liability
Wrap Logger is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the app and its creator accept no liability for errors, omissions, lost data, or any loss arising from its use.
8. Ending
You can stop using Wrap Logger and delete your account and data at any time from Settings ▸ Account & display. If you don’t agree to these terms, don’t use the app. You can delete your account and data instead.
9. Changes
If these terms change, we’ll update the date at the top. We’ll ask you to agree again in the app before a significant change applies to you.
